 Mike Lucas-Keyboard Department Manager/Specialist
Mike Lucas is a forty year veteran of the music industry. Mike began playing keyboards at age fourteen and has never looked back. After a six year stint in the Marine Corps, Mike got his start in the music sales industry in 1976 working for his uncle, Allen Ross, owner of a piano and organ store in Cincinnati, Ohio. During the eighties, Mike was an artist representative for Yamaha keyboards. In 1982, he went to work for the Lowery Organ Company where he earned awards as the top salesman in the country for two years straight. After leaving Lowery, Mike continued his career, working with Baldwin Piano Company. Mike was a stellar salesman at several locations between 1990 and 2001. He was manager of the Baldwin Factory store in Lexington, Ky. and was Senior Division Sales Manager for the final 4 years of his tenure with the Baldwin Company. Mike joined Willis Music in 2001 and has been our top sales producer ever since. Continuing to earn sales awards and accolades, Mike shows no signs of slowing down. During his early career as a rock and roll keyboardist with bands such as “Raspberry Ice”, Mike and his band-mates opened for bands the likes of Grand Funk Railroad, and in 1969, Chicago. Throughout his years as a salesman and artist/ customer service rep, Mike has worked with such musical greats as David Crosby and Bruce Hornsby, among others. Mike can be found regularly sitting in with one of Cincinnati’s favorite oldies bands “The Remains”.
